一、 Analysis of the teaching materials
I .The teaching materials contents: Section B Topic 2, Unit 3.
II .Organization of the teaching materials:
Because the most important item in this unit is “Our hobbies ”,and enjoying music is a hobby ,too, but different people love different music . In section B, the main points , are “Getting to know the kinds of music ” and “leaning to use It's great! I love it./It's not my favorite , but I don't mind./ I hate this kind of music, etc. to express one's feeling .”But 1 a is talking about What kind of music do you like ? and 3a is talking about “ the kinds of music ”, so I will adjust 3a,3b to teach first ,and then teach 1a,1b .I think after we learnt the kinds of music and used the sentences in 3b to practice in pairs ,and then begin to teach 1a,1b is a good way. Next, in order to consolidate the main points, listen to the tape of 2 and check the right answers. At last , let the students contact 1 a with 3b and describe their feelings about different kinds of music ,at the same time, I'll ask the students to finish a task: Go to buy some VCDs and talk about what kind of music to buy .
III . Teaching aims
The knowledge Aim
1) To master: simple folk song classical jazz.
2) To understand : the kinds of music.
3) To learn to use “It's great !I love it/ It's not . my favorite , but I don't mind./ I hate to listen to rock music” etc.
The Ability Aim
1) To improve the students' ability of listening . speaking ,reading and writing by teaching the main points in Section B ,then ask them to finish a task.
2) To train the students' ability of expressing their own feeling.
The learning tactics.
1 ) To set up the consciousness of leaning by themselves.
2) To grasp the chance of communication in English
Feeling attitude
1) To make the students love music.
2) To encourage students to express their own feelings.
Culture consciousness
1) To understand the kinds of music
2) To improve the students temperament and train the students good sentiment.
IV. Teaching focus and difficult points .
1) How to get to know the kinds of music.

二、 Teaching design
I . General thinking
According to the teaching aims in the section. I'll ask students to preview the lessons and use the tools of study to get to know the kinds of music and its characteristic. According to the characteristics of the new teaching materials, the students'age. I'll use the situational teaching method ,communicative approach for leading in the new lesson. 苏霍姆林斯基 said, “Don't make the students tired of the process of mastering knowledge. Don't lead them into the fatigued and unconcerned situation .Make them full of joy wholeheartedly.” The purpose of using the situational teaching is to make dull and abstract contents into the situations of pleasing to the ears, the eyes and the hearts in order to arouse the interest of the students' English learning and make the students learn actively in English .So I choose the multi-media computer projector to show the Ss some pictures, lantern slide, Music directly. Doing so is to make them join in happily with great interests and make the lesson lively and easy to follow. After listening, speaking ,reading and writing, I'll get the students to finish a task ---Ask some students to buy some VCDs, and they must use the main points in Section B to practice in pairs.
II Teaching intention :
In this lesson I will put the Ss the main body of learning, so I use multi-media computer projector. The reason I choose the multi-media computer is that it can seize the attention of the Junior Ss, and doing so it can make them learn English happily and let them turn passive learning into positive learning. Create real communicative situations to stimulate the Ss' vision & hearing. In this way, the Ss will learn the lesson actively It'll train the Ss distinguishing & observation. I believe my organization of the lesson will give the students deep impression ,and they'll find it interesting and easier to finish the task.

因为1a和1b是谈论“喜欢什么种类的音乐”的,而3a是谈论“音乐的种类及其特点”的,所以我将3a提前教学,目的是想让同学们在了解音乐的种类及其特点之后再谈论个人对音乐的喜好比较容易理解和接受,这一环节,让学生在快速阅读后,我通过展示各种音乐会的图片,让学生猜出是哪种音乐,同时配上有空格的文字让学生填空并描述,同时用红色注出新的单词,之后让学生再回答问题。 |
通过视听、说、读、写让学生加深对音乐种类及其特点的了解,突出本课的重点,让学生轻松愉快地学习英语。 |
巩固练习 |
学习 3b 中的句子,同时结合3 a进行对话谈论对了解了的几种音乐的喜爱程度,然后听对话1a并完成1b 填空练习。 |
在了解了各种音乐及其特点的基础上,让学生学会用3b中的句子表达自己的情感,同时结合1a和1b的听力理解突出本课的重点。 |
